Essential Drone Flying EDC
Share
As a drone pilot, I always make sure to bring a few key items with me when I'm out flying in the field. These are items that I've found to be essential for a successful and safe flight, as well as for handling any unexpected situations that might arise.
One of the most important items in my everyday carry (EDC) kit is a spare battery for my drone. When I'm out in the field, I never know how long my flights will last or what kind of conditions I might encounter. Having a spare battery ensures that I have enough power to get my drone back to its starting point, even if something goes wrong.
Another essential item is a set of tools for maintaining and repairing my drone. This includes things like spare propellers, a screwdriver set, and a soldering iron. In the unlikely event that something goes wrong with my drone, these tools allow me to make quick repairs and get back in the air as soon as possible.
Another key item in my EDC kit is a GPS device. Whether I'm flying in a remote location or just want to know my exact position, a GPS device is essential for navigating and staying safe while flying.
In addition to these specific drone-related items, I also bring along some camping and survival gear. This includes things like a first aid kit, a flashlight, and a fire starter. These items may not be directly related to flying drones, but they can come in handy in a variety of situations, whether I'm stuck in the field overnight or just need to make a quick repair in low light conditions.
